When assessing a job and formulating a program of work we analyse how we can best complete our task, work alongside other trades and crucially, how we will take care of your property along the way. We have a great deal of experience working in finished environments and inhabited homes. We will go to extraordinary lengths to minimise disruption. We always aim to leave the space cleaner and tidier than we found it.

I combine my mechanical understanding of wood with time-honoured joinery techniques, modern tooling and an aesthetic informed by the customer's taste and my fascination with woodcraft from all ages.
I love to see my client’s eyes light up when I deliver a finished piece. Knowing I have built a piece of personal treasure for somebody gives me immense satisfaction.
In order to get us there, we meet for an initial discussion of your taste and needs, using mood boards and reference images where helpful. I provide samples of a wide range of timber to inform the discussion, produce sketches and drawings and, if necessary, even build full-size mock-ups of the furniture. This way, customers are involved in every stage of the design and can be confident they will love the finished work.
I have access to a vast inventory of fine quality oak, ash, elm, French walnut and Scots pine to name but a few.
I have developed fruitful working relationships with many respected specialists and suppliers at home and abroad, from sawmills and timber merchants to machine shops running state-of-the-art technology.
Collaborating with my peers allows me to find the perfect piece of wood and the perfect working of it, for any job.

Together, my father and I make fully bespoke parquet, marquetry and wide board flooring. Great care is taken to size the pattern to the shape and size of the room.
We go to extraordinary lengths not only to select the correct species, but also the right cut and quality of timber to best present the design. The result is a floor that fits the space and character of the property and the client’s aesthetic.
As we like to say, “It looks like it grew there!”
My father has carved a niche for himself making hand-worked floor boards. I can state with confidence that these floors are like nothing else on the planet.
We make floor boards the full width and length of the logs, with a surface that showcases Mother Nature’s organic art. They are equally at ease in modern chic interiors, ancient buildings and barn conversions.
We mix time-tested techniques with modern materials and finishes to ensure that our floors can live as long as the buildings that house them. Not only are they eye-wateringly beautiful, but they also represent a great investment in your property.
We are masters in restoring ancient and modern floors. Without destroying their patina or well-earned character, we have restored board floors dating back to the 15th century and parquets dating back to the 17th century. Once lovingly restored they are good for centuries more.
